This role is pivotal to maintaining the highest standards of service and operations, ensuring an unparalleled guest experience that aligns with the property’s prestigious reputation.
Position Overview
The Resort Manager will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for the daily operations of the resort, overseeing the following departments: Food & Beverage, Security, Rooms, Engineering, and Spa. This individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering team development, and enhancing guest satisfaction while meeting financial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Directly oversee and coordinate operations in Food & Beverage, Security, Rooms, Engineering, and Spa to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Implement and maintain Forbes and other luxury service standards across all departments.
- Monitor day-to-day operations to identify and address any challenges, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Collaborate with department heads to set goals, monitor progress, and address areas of improvement.
Guest Experience
- Champion guest satisfaction initiatives, ensuring all teams deliver personalized, world-class service.
- Act as the face of the resort, engaging with VIP guests to anticipate and exceed their needs.
- Analyze guest feedback and implement strategic changes to continuously improve satisfaction scores.
Financial Oversight
- Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets to align with the resort’s financial goals.
- Analyze P&L statements and other financial reports to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
- Identify revenue-generating opportunities and implement strategies to drive profitability.
Team Development
- Inspire, mentor, and lead department heads to cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to maintain a high-performing team.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with the General Manager and ownership on long-term strategic planning and operational initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational standards in all departments.
- Stay updated on luxury hospitality trends and incorporate best practices into resort operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive hospitality management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple departments. Experience in ultra-luxury resorts is required.
